Oh, that boat. Despite previous vigorous denials, the State Department has admitted that Secretary of State John Kerry was “briefly” on his boat in Nantucket on Wednesday while the Egyptian president was being deposed. A State Department spokeswoman originally said, “Any report or tweet that he was on a boat is completely inaccurate,” but the agency was forced to backtrack after the Boston Herald released photos of Kerry on the water. “While he was briefly on his boat on Wednesday, Secretary Kerry worked around the clock all day including participating in the president’s meeting with his national security council,” the new statement said.
