Spoiler alerts: it ain’t an Office party if Michael Scott doesn’t show up. So Steve Carell had to oblige, by showing up on Thursday night’s finale, when the show officially ended its nine-year run on NBC. The episode featured guest spots by old stars such as Mindy Kaling and B.J. Novack. In a sweet ending for longtime fans, the Dunder Mifflin employees answered questions on a panel about the documentary, while Jim and Pam decided to move on from Scranton and Dwight and Angela got married. The finale went up against the last episode of American Idol, which crowned Candice Glover as the new champion.
