After George Zimmerman was found not guilty of murdering Trayvon Martin, singer Stevie Wonder has announced that he will boycott Florida because of its controversial “stand your ground” law. “I decided today that until the 'stand your ground' law is abolished in Florida, I will never perform there again,” Wonder said Sunday during a performance in Quebec. “As a matter of fact, wherever I find that law exists, I will not perform in that state or in that part of the world.” His boycott could mean that Wonder won’t perform in at least 21 states. Wonder, whose comments harked back to the struggle for civil rights, said it was time to let people’s voices be heard and to vote for change and equality.
