The United States is somewhere under there: A satellite photo of Tuesday’s blizzard shows the storm cloud covering practically the entire country, with only Florida and parts of the southwest peeking out. The storm made its way from Texas to Maine and will continue to deposit ice and snow in Chicago, Michigan, and the northeast Wednesday. Hardest hit was the Midwest: For the first time ever, Missouri shut down the interstate between St. Louis and Kansas City; Tulsa, Oklahoma’s newspaper canceled its edition for the first time in a century; and Chicago students had their first snow day in 12 years.
