Tropical Storm Lee has caused power outages and some evacuations in Louisiana and Mississippi. As of Saturday afternoon, the center of the storm was about 45 miles southwest of Morgan City, La. Parts of southern Louisiana had two-day rain totals of nine inches, while the Mississippi coast had totals of five inches. The Entergy utility company said that more than 37,000 customers had lost power. The storm has caused street flooding in some parts of New Orleans, but pumps were sending the water to Lake Pontchartrain. Casinos along the coast stayed open in spite of the storm, although the Alabama State Port Authority shut down the Port of Mobile.
