A major exhibition of Iraqi art this week has brought “back the civilization and the cultural heritage of Iraq," according to Mohammed Muhsen Ali, the deputy director of the National Museum, where hundreds of pieces of art are on display. The National Museum has actively sought thousands of cultural artifacts that were stolen during a huge looting in 2003, and now are displaying everything from Sumerian statues to Saddam Hussein propaganda.
