Payments on the family's now-defaulted mortgage stopped coming in around the same time that Suleman had a doctor implant her with a dozen embryos. The house, a three bedroom in Whittier, California purchased by Suleman's mother with the help of a hefty loan from IndyMac, will be up for auction before summer. In an effort to quell reporters' worries, the elder Suleman quickly noted that, although she had lost a house once before, also due to debt, she has improved her financial habits since then.
