Judge David J. Cowan of Los Angeles County Superior Court announced Monday his dismissal of a lawsuit over the mental competency of television mogul Sumner Redstone. In a hearing that lasted less than a half-hour, the court rejected claims from the plaintiff, Manuela Herzer, who alleged that Redstone did not have the mental capacity to take her (a former lover) off his health-care directive. Herzer has filed a $100 million lawsuit against Redstone’s family, according to her lawyer, and also plans to appeal the decision.
