Sumo Wrestler Completes L.A. Marathon

A 400-pound Sumo wrestler named Kelly Gneiting became the heaviest man to complete a marathon on Sunday, finishing the L.A. Marathon in nine hours, 48 minutes. Gneiting jogged the first eight miles and walked the next 18, saying he lost track of where he was at mile 10 due to delirium. “I was really struggling in the last five miles," he said, "but I said to myself, 'If I have to crawl, I will.'" The previous record was held by a 275-pound man who took almost 12 hours. "I'd like to see the Kenyan improve his marathon time by two hours,” Gneiting joked after the race.
