Big Game

111 million tune in to biggest TV event ever.

Super Bowl XLV was the most-watched television event in American broadcast history, delivering 111 million viewers. The game beat last year’s viewership by 5 percent, the fourth year in a row the Super Bowl has broken the previous year’s record. Glee, the Fox comedy that aired immediately after, grabbed 26.8 million viewers. The unfortunate fans were initially promised three times the face value of their tickets (about $800-$900), and now have been promised seats at next year’s Super Bowl.
