Breathe easy, teenagers. The Supreme Court has ruled that California cannot ban the sale of violent videogames to minors. The court agreed 7-2 to throw out the law, agreeing with the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that the law violated minors’ rights under the First and 14th Amendments. The law would have fined anyone who rented or sold a violent game to someone under 18 up to $1,000.
