Surgeon Resigns Over Semen Claim

How romantic: Dr. Lazar Greenfield, the president-elect of the American College of Surgeons, wrote an editorial on Valentine's Day saying that women are made happy by contact with semen during unprotected sex. Now, after weeks of controversy, he has resigned. His argument cited research that found college women who have unprotected sex are less depressed than those who used condoms. “So there’s a deeper bond between men and women than St. Valentine would have suspected, and now we know there’s a better gift for that day than chocolates,” he wrote.
