Suspect: I Killed My Roommates for Disrespecting My Faith

A man who allegedly shot his two roommates in Florida told police he shared his neo-Nazi beliefs with them, before converting to Islam and then murdering them for disrespecting his faith. The victims were identified as Jeremy Himmelman, 22, and Andrew Oneschuk, 18. Suspect Devon Arthurs, 18, told police he “wanted to bring attention to his cause,” according to a police report. Afterward, Arthurs allegedly held a female employee and a male customer hostage at the Green Planet Smoke Shop nearby. “Do me a favor and get the f--- on the ground!” he yelled at them, according to the report. Arthurs then allegedly asked the customer, “Why shouldn't I kill you?” According to the report by police Detective Kenneth Nightlinger, Arthurs said “he was upset due to America bombing his Muslim countries.”
