The man who allegedly shot and killed Joe McKnight was released from jail, and he has not been charged with a crime “as of yet,” according to Col. John Fortunato of the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana. The circumstances surrounding McNight’s murder are still being investigated, Fortunato said. Ronald Gasser, 54, is believed to have fatally shot McKnight, a former NFL player, in Terrytown, Louisiana during a road-rage incident.
