Swiss Build World's Longest Tunnel

Guess this will have to do until we build the tunnel between the U.S. and China through the center of the earth: Switzerland created the world’s longest rail tunnel on Friday after punching through the last feet of rock beneath the Piz Vatgira peak in the Alps. The 35.4 mile rail tunnel took 14 years to build, and it connects Zurich to Milan. Trains still won’t run until 2017, but they’ll cut travel time between the cities by an hour-and-a-half.
