Syria has signed the Paris climate agreement, leaving the United States as the only nation that is out of the deal, The Independent reported. President Trump announced this year that he would pull out of the agreement, which aims to combat global warming by limiting global greenhouse-gas emissions. Initially the United States stood with Nicaragua and civil-war consumed Syria as the remaining countries not in on the deal, which was signed by nearly 200 countries in December 2015. Nicaragua held out on signing because it felt the agreement did not go far enough in limiting emissions.
