Conflicting information coming out of Aleppo led to contradicting reports on Tuesday, in which rebel forces claimed that a ceasefire agreement had been reached while the Syrian military vehemently denied that claim. Nour Din al-Zinki, a militant rebel group with a large presence in Aleppo, told Reuters that the deal was struck in order to allow civilians and fighters alike to evacuate the chaotic area. Meanwhile, Syrian military sources told the news agency that the army had no information about any such deal in the city, which is on the brink of being retaken by pro-government forces.
