Syrian rebels have reportedly started to evacuate the city of Homs as a part of a cease-fire deal reached with President Bashar al-Assad’s government forces, a monitoring group said Wednesday. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said about 800 people, including rebel fighters and civilians, are expected to leave the besieged, rebel-held area throughout Wednesday and return control to government forces. Under the UN-backed cease-fire, the area has received food aid for the first time in nearly a year.
