Syrian Refugees Enter Texas Despite Efforts to Block

Even though Texas’s government mounted an aggressive effort to block the resettling of Syrians within its borders, a family of six refugees was safely settled in the state this week. Another couple and their two young children reportedly arrived in Indiana this week, too, at the invitation of Archdiocese of Indianapolis. That move came despite Indiana Gov. Mike Pence declaring that his state would not take in any refugees.
