The bad news: Your debit and credit cards may have been hacked if you shopped at Target between Nov. 27 and Dec. 15. The good news? You get 10 percent off (on Saturday and Sunday)! The retailer announced a weekend discount and issued a statement from CEO Gregg Steinhafel on Friday night. “Our guests’ trust is our top priority at Target and we are committed to making this right,” said Steinhafel. According to the statement, there is no indication that debit card PIN numbers or card security codes were compromised, meaning that the compromised cards cannot be used to withdraw cash from an ATM or shop online. According to a California legal team that is filing a class action lawsuit against Target, however, some customers claim that thieves have used their debit card information to withdraw money from ATMs.
