With Robert Pattinson on an excruciatingly uncomfortable promo tour for his new film, Cosmopolis, and conflicting reports circulating about whether Kristen Stewart will be invited back to the Snow White and the Huntsman sequel, the tabloid-baiting breakup of the Twilight power couple continues to generate strong reactions from fans of the two actors—and that includes celebrity fans. As Hollywood reels from the leaked photos of Stewart making out with her married Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, stars from Will Ferrell to Lady Gaga are weighing in. Is anyone Team Bella? Kristen Stewart and actress Scout Taylor Compton didn’t just co-star in the indie flick The Runaways. They’ve been best friends for years—Stewart even brought Robert Pattinson along to Compton’s Dirty Dancing-themed birthday party in February. It should come as no surprise, then, that Compton quickly came to her BFF’s defense after the star’s scandalous photos leaked, tweeting, “Please understand I support, care, and love my friends like you all do with yours, but also understand privacy should always be respected <3.” A few days later, she tweeted again, “It’s a pain and hurt that will never be erased.”

Following the tabloid-shaking news of Stewart’s affair, the question on every paparazzo’s mind: where in the world is Robert Pattinson? The answer, it turned out, was at Reese Witherspoon’s house. Pattinson’s Water for Elephants costar and friend reportedly offered her holiday home in Ojai, Calif., for the Twilight star to seek refuge in until the media firestorm died down a bit.

Who knew Will Ferrell was such a celebrity-gossip hound? During an appearance promoting The Campaign on Conan O’Brien’s talk show, Ferrell feigned tears as he bemoaned the situation. “She cheated on him, and they’re broken up and they aren’t going to get back together ever,” he said. “They were in love and she just threw it all away.” If they were any doubts over who he held allegiance to, they were quickly dismissed when he labeled Stewart a “trampire.” Ferrell’s bit may have been all in fun, but it still packed a painful bite.

Charlize Theron’s jealous Evil Queen loathed Kristen Stewart’s Snow White when the two characters co-starred in Snow White and the Huntsman. Now friends of the Oscar winner are telling Radar that, after hearing about Stewart’s affair with Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, Theron is none too happy with Twilight star in real life, either. “Charlize is absolutely fuming with Kristen for having an affair with Rupert,” the source said. Theron reportedly became close with Sanders’s wife, Liberty Ross, during the film’s production. “Charlize felt like an older sister to Kristen, and they were always sharing advice,” the source said. Now, Theron reportedly feels like she’s between a “rock and a hard place.”

Theron isn’t the only A-lister whose friends are tattling on her dissing of Stewart. Sources close to Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence also tell Radar that the actress doesn’t have kind words for her fellow Hollywood starlet. “Recently, although she didn’t say Kristen’s name directly, she couldn’t resist having a subtle dig at her rival,” a friend tells the gossip site. “She told a group of friends that she would never two-time [boyfriend Nicholas Hoult]. She was clearly referring to Kristen’s liaison with Rupert.”

TV journalist Lisa Ling, who hosts the series Our America on OWN, didn’t mince words when pledging her allegiance to Pattinson. “Kristen Stewart, you f’d up my friend,” she tweeted, linking to a video of Pattinson’s recent interview on The Daily Show. The next day, the host walked back her criticism: “OK! I used a poor choice of words re:KStew. I’d just seen RPatt on the Daily Show and got a lil’smitten. I’m sorry, I f-d up.#tooimpulsive.”

Director Bill Condon’s diplomatic statement in regard to the Kristen-Rob breakup should come as no surprise, as he directed the final two installments of the Twilight films and is bracing for what could be quite the awkward press tour when Breaking Dawn—Part 2 is released this fall. “The fact is, these are actors playing parts, and maybe it’s not such a bad thing that people be reminded of that,” Condon told Entertainment Weekly. “Both of these actors gave heart and soul to the Twilight movies, not only during shooting, but also by navigating so graciously the whole life-in-a-fishbowl aspect of the phenomenon."

Lady Gaga named one of her albums Fame Monster, so it’s safe to say she’s more than familiar with the downside of celebrity culture. As such, she chose not to vilify or support either party in the Twilight debacle, instead directing a tweet at the way the media is covering the affair: “Geez this kirstew rob stuff is brutal. Makes me sad the way press acts. Hope they’re ok.”
