At a rally with supporters in Cleveland, Sen. Ted Cruz admitted that he cried off-camera after losing the Indiana primary—the race that sealed his fate as runner-up to the GOP presidential nomination. “I wasn't gonna let those SOBs turn ‘Lyin’ Ted’ into ‘Cryin’ Ted,’” he said of Trump’s team. The rally appeared to set the stage for another Cruz presidential bid, as many supporters shouted “2020!” when Cruz said he does not know “what the future holds.” The conservative firebrand will address the Republican National Convention on Wednesday night, but is not expected to publicly endorse Donald Trump.
