A U.S.-born teenager who allegedly killed for Mexican drug cartels was sentenced by a Mexican judge to three years in prison, the maximum sentence for a minor. Fourteen-year-old Edgar “El Ponchis” Jimenez Lugo confessed to killing four people whose beheaded bodies were found hanging from a bridge. He was also convicted of organized crime, kidnapping, and drug and weapons possession. Jimenez said he committed the murders after being drugged and threatened by the South Pacific drug cartel. He was arrested while trying to board a plane in Tijuana with his sister. They were on their way to San Diego to see their mother.
