Two international tennis umpires were banned by the International Tennis Federation for allegedly accepting bribes in exchange for electronically manipulating live scores on the Futures Tour. Four other umpires are under investigation in similar cases. The investigations were focused in Eastern Europe, where volunteer umpires were apparently more likely to take bribes. The International Tennis Federation was silent about the cases until allegedly forced to admit the situation in interviews with The Guardian.
