Terror Suspect's Family Unaware of Plans

WE DIDN'T KNOW

No signs of radicalization.

An attorney for the family of a man shot and killed by terrorism investigators said Thursday they were surprised by claims that he was radicalized by extremists and will not speculate until an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting is complete. Usaamah Rahim's family was "unaware of any radicalization and did not see any signs of radicalization," according to their lawyer Ronald Sullivan. Rahim was killed Tuesday after authorities said he came at them with a large knife he bought on Amazon. An FBI affidavit revealed Rahim had planned to behead someone outside of Massachusetts before changing his mind to go after police. Sullivan added the family was heading to the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office to see a surveillance video of the shooting. The 26-year-old is expected to be buried Friday.
