What made him snap? A Texas gunman who killed one person and wounded five others in a shooting spree before being shot to death by police was a Marine. Esteban Smith, 23, was stationed at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, the Texas Department of Public Safety said in a statement Monday. Firing at random from his pickup truck Sunday, Smith shot dead a 41-year-old woman before he was killed in a shootout with a police officer. Officials found an assault rifle, a handgun, and hundreds of rounds of ammo in his truck.
