A Texas mother confessed to witnesses that she shoved her 2-year-old daughter in an oven, local police said Monday. According to WFAA-TV, after responding to a call for help when a toddler was reported to have suffered second and third-degree burns, police learned that Tasha Shontell Hatcher, 35, told witnesses that she had put the girl in an oven. One of Hatcher's neighbors claimed the mother-daughter pair always "seemed playful" but on Thursday evening, the mother acted "unusual." Hatcher has been charged with serious bodily harm to a child; the toddler will be placed in the care of Child Protective Services.
