Ben Affleck and Anna Kendrick’s new drama, The Accountant, led the weekend box office, raking in $24.7 million. The movie, which cost Warner Bros. $40 million to produce and opened to underwhelming reviews, placed no. 1 in the North American box office. The movie was followed by a $12 million tie between Kevin Hart: What Now? and The Girl on the Train. High expectations for Emily Blunt’s Gone Girl-like thriller have seen it bring in a domestic total of $46.6 million over the past two weeks.
