‘The Campaign’ Reports Ryan Bump

It seems at least two American cities just wanted to yuck it up after Wisconsin native son Paul Ryan was named Mitt Romney’s running mate. Political comedy The Campaign, starring Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis, reported that while ticket sales dropped 7 percent on average nationwide, they stayed level in the nation’s capital and rose 2 percent in Mitt Romney’s hometown of Boston. “We saw a real kick in those markets,” said Dan Fellman, Warner Bros. president of domestic distribution. “And as the real campaign continues to play out, we are in a very interesting place.” The R-rated flick follows two Jesus-lovin’, baby-punchin’, mudslinging pols as they battle for a North Carolina Senate seat.
