Rod Blagojevich is turning to his predecessors in these trying times. Blago's state Senate trial is scheduled to open today. Blago advised onlookers to interpret the Senate's surety of his guilt as a sign of his innocence. "I think what you'll see is a roll call that will be pre-designed, and we'll see whether or not I even get one vote." He said that to resign now "would be to disgrace my children." He is not expected to show up at his trial.
