The Root's Top 100 Black Leaders

Lists

Includes LeBron James, Wyclef Jean.

The Root has unveiled its second annual “Root 100”—a list of 100 African American leaders between the ages of 25 and 45. The goal is to find leaders who are not yet “household brands,” though you’ll certainly recognize names like LeBron James (who “single-handedly reshap[ed] the relationship between team owners and professional athletes”), Wyclef Jean, and Mo Vaughn. Politicians include Kasim Reed and Ayanna Pressley; performers include Jay Electronica and the Carolina Chocolate Drops; and entrepreneurs include designer Natalia Allen and filmmaker Will Packer.
