Perhaps hoping to nip any new rumors in the bud, Tiger Woods set the record straight Monday about his decision to withdraw from a tournament. At a press conference, the scandal-plagued golfer claimed that his neck injury has “zero connection” to his infamous Thanksgiving car crash: "It started bugging me about two weeks before the Masters," he said, adding that he’ll have an MRI to determine the cause. Woods withdrew during the final round of the Players Championship on Sunday, citing pain in his neck. It was just his third tournament since he returned to the Masters last month. "I've been playing with a bad neck for about a month,” Woods said. If he needs surgery, he could miss the rest of the season.
