One hundred years after the Titanic sank, the world will remember the ill-fated cruise ship this weekend. On April 14, 1912, the ship hit an iceberg at 11:40 p.m., then went under about three hours later. In Belfast, where the ship was built, a concert and mass will be held. Meanwhile, the ship the MS Balmoral is retracing the Titantic’s voyage, and will hold a memorial on board. ABC’s miniseries Titanic, written by Julian Fellowes of Downton Abbey fame, will also premiere Saturday night.
