Tony Hayward May Lose Another Job

Tony Hayward's current role on the board of BP's Russian joint venture TNK-BP is allegedly in jeopardy, with concerns from other top executives that Hayward is distancing himself from the company and its senior executives. The former chief executive of BP was ousted from his position on October 1, 2010 following the Deepwater Horizon disaster and oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, and is reportedly still embittered about his exit. Hayward is believed to have referred to himself amongst associates as BP's "sacrificial lamb." Were Hayward to be replaced at BP's Russian venture, he would be completely cut off from the oil giant.
