Top Ebola Doc Puts Herself in Quarantine

PRECAUTION

After virus killed her office assistant.

Bernice Dahn, Liberia’s chief medical officer, has decided to put herself under quarantine after her office assistant died of Ebola. Dahn has not shown any symptoms, she says, but wants to make sure she is not infected. Her quarantine will last 21 days, which the World Health Organization says is the maximum incubation period for Ebola. Dahn, a deputy health minister, has also instructed the rest of her office to remain at home for three weeks.
