National Public Radio Senior Vice President of News Michael Oreskes resigned Wednesday amid a spate of sexual-harassment allegations. “I am deeply sorry to the people I hurt. My behavior was wrong and inexcusable, and I accept full responsibility,” Oreskes wrote in an internal memo obtained by CNN. “To my colleagues, I am grateful for every minute I’ve had to work with each of you.” Oreskes was reportedly asked to resign after two women claimed he made unwanted sexual advances toward them when they sought jobs with The New York Times—a previous Oreskes employer—a few decades ago.
