Radical republicans push for legislation in MI, Southern states.

Well, ladies, you chose to have an abortion, so if you can stomach that procedure, you should really be strong enough to take one last look at your doomed fetus. In the words of Michigan Republicans who are trying to push the intrusive transvaginal ultrasound into legislation, the procedure “further protects the interests of the women seeking an abortion by assessing the viability of the fetus and confirming the approximate gestational age of the fetus,” because these things are necessary to determine “appropriate medical care” for the lady who’s about to kill her baby. Republicans in Tennessee and Alabama are also looking to push new ultrasound bills at a time when party elites are trying to distance themselves from anti-abortion radicals.
