The wife of disgraced Chinese politician Bo Xilai will be tried for the murder of Neil Heywood next Thursday, a spokeswoman for the court hearing case said Friday. Gu Kailai, a former international lawyer, is charged with intentional homicide in the death of the British businessman. The murder mystery is at the center of a political scandal surrounding Mr. Bo, a former contender for top office in China who was stripped of his Communist Party posts in April. Ms. Gu is accused of poisoning Heywood with the help of her son and faces the death penalty if convicted.
