'True Detective' Crashes HBO GO

Now you know what "time is a flat circle" means. So many viewers logged on to the HBO GO website and app for the Season One finale of True Detective that the service crashed. Instead of seeing detectives Rust Cohle and Marty Hart battle bad guys, some people just got to stare at a spinning wheel as the video refused to load—that's certainly one way to personally experience the frustrations and metaphysics of Cohle's philosophical ramblings. HBO GO's Twitter account posted: “Due to overwhelmingly popular demand for #TrueDetective, we’ve been made aware of an issue affecting some users. Please try again soon.”
