President Trump explicitly told a crowd in Pensacola, Florida on Friday night to vote for Alabama Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore, who has been accused of sexual misconduct with teenagers years ago. "Get out and vote for Roy Moore," Trump told the crowd. He added that Moore's opponent, Democrat Doug Jones is "completely controlled by (House Minority Leader) Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and (Senate Minority Leader) Chuck Schumer (D-NY)." Moore, hoping to capitalize on Trump's support, quickly quoted the president in a tweet.
"We need a Republican in the Senate. We need Moore!" - President Trump
