Trump Doesn’t Regret McCain ‘War Hero’ Comments

Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump has no regrets about having suggested former prisoner-of-war John McCain is no "war hero." Last July the ideologue said McCain is not a hero because he was captured. During a Wednesday morning radio interview with Don Imus, the reality-TV star said he's apologized to veterans since then, but does not regret his words. “like not to regret anything,” Trump said. “You do things and you say things. And what I said, frankly, is what I said. And some people like what I said, if you want to know the truth. There are many people that like what I said. You know after I said that, my poll numbers went up seven points.”
