Trump Flirts His Way Through White House Women’s Event

LADIES’ MAN

The president was a big hit with the largely female—and Republican—crowd.

Donald Trump joked and flirted his way through a White House event to celebrate Women’s History Month.

After two days of playing damage control over his top national security officials’ Signal chat debacle, Trump looked delighted to talk to a more receptive audience of mainly women on Wednesday afternoon.

Members of the crowd in the standing-room-only East Room yelled, “We love you,” after he thanked women for electing him.

“I kept being told that women didn’t like me, but I thought, ‘I think they do,” he added.

Many in the audience had glasses of champagne or white wine and Trump’s walk-on music included instrumental versions of Dancing Queen and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.

The president evidently took note as he ran through his usual list of achievements since taking office, but this time, with a half-smile on his face.

He got a big cheer when he bragged about his order to only recognize two sexes—and then asked if anyone in the room disagreed with him. “I thought for a moment someone in the press might put their hand up,” he joked.

“What are they doing, Marjorie?” he asked about opponents to his gender policy. MAGA Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene was standing, beaming in the audience.

“It’s demeaning to women and, frankly, in my opinion, you are superior to men,” he added, pointing out at his fans.

“Women are superior,” he added. “I’ve known it all my life and I’m not happy about it. I’m not happy about it.”

He said he was surrounded by “strong” women when introducing Attorney General Pam Bondi.

Trump said he was watching her on television threatening people vandalizing Teslas.

“Man, I don’t want her after me,” he joked to laughter and applause.

He also praised “tough” Kristi Noem, his head of Homeland Security. “I think she’s tougher than Tom Homan, right?” he added.

He said he’d signed an order to allow women greater access to IVF. “I’ll be known as the fertilization president,” he said to laughs. “That’s not bad. I’ve been called much worse. Actually, I like it,” he added.

He said that he’s planning a women’s museum on The Mall in Washington. “I’m very good at real estate,” he said slyly. “It’s going to be a big, beautiful museum. If it’s for women it’s got to be a big, beautiful museum or we’re in trouble.”

He also gave a namecheck to lawmakers like Marsha Blackburn, Lauren Boebert, Nancy Mace, Joni Ernst, and Greene, who he called a “tiger.”

Trump ended by praising the “strong, wonderful, beautiful” women in his life.

He said he’d done a similar event for men, but that was “so boring.”

“This is much better,” he said, adding that he tore up his speech for the men’s event to “two paragraphs” because it was so much less fun.

“Today and every day, America’s daughters ignite the dreams and develop the character of our next generation,” Trump said in an executive order declaring March Women’s History Month. “Their contributions to America’s excellence are worthy of praise and recognition, now and forever.”
