Donald Trump went back on a pledge he and the other Republican presidential candidates made to support the nominee during a town-hall forum with CNN on Tuesday. “I’ve been treated very unfairly,” he said, adding “We’ll see who it is,” in reference to the potential nominee. Trump has suggested that he would break the pledge in the past but not this explicitly. “I signed a pledge and as far as I’m concerned they’re in default of their pledge,” he said during a February debate. In December, Trump promised that he was “totally committed to the Republican Party.” Trump said he didn’t need Cruz’s support if he were the nominee either. “I’m not asking for his support,” he said.
