EPA chief Lee Zeldin’s big Wednesday announcement detailing plans to roll back environmental protections is yet another example of how the Trump administration is playing Russian roulette with American lives, warns The New Abnormal co-hosts Danielle Moodie and Andy Levy
Zeldin called the move the “biggest deregulatory action in U.S. history,” with the EPA planning to overhaul 31 environmental rules dating back to the Obama era. Gina McCarthy, who served as EPA administrator under President Obama, called the announcement “the most disastrous day in EPA history.”

Moodie summed up the announcement as, “They are not trying to kill us, they are—I’m going to replace that with—going to kill us.”
“All of this is a sop to big business. That’s obvious,” said Levy. “And once again, I’m sitting here thinking of all these people who have said Trump fights for us.” He added, “If you still think that now, after everything that has happened in the last few months, I don’t know what to tell you.”
