President Trump began his Thanksgiving by tweeting at a columnist who slammed his frequent Twitter attacks on prominent African-Americans. After Washington Post columnist Greg Sargent tweeted out a link to his latest piece calling out Trump for “rage-tweeting” against well-known African-American celebrities, Trump responded directly with an all caps “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump’s tweet appeared to inadvertently endorse Sargent’s argument. Sargent had suggested that Trump thought it was electorally useful for him to frequently “rage tweet” at well-known African-Americans. The most recent examples include basketball dad LaVar Ball and the NFL athletes taking part in national anthem protests.
