Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has called global warming “a total hoax” and “bullshit” on the campaign trail, but the alleged billionaire has also tried to build a sea wall around his golf course in Ireland to protect it from “global warming and its effects.” Trump is reportedly applying for permission to build coastal protection for his County Clare golf course to curb erosion. Trump International Golf Links & Hotel Ireland’s permit application mentions global warming specifically, as rising sea levels and extreme weather can increase damage. Politico points out that Trump’s hypocrisy “illustrates the conflict between his political rhetoric and the realities of running a business with seaside assets in the 21st century.”
