Donald Trump said in his first one-on-one interview as president that construction on the border wall between the U.S. and Mexico will begin "in months." In the ABC News sit-down with David Muir, he said it would happen "as soon as we can, as soon as we can physically do it." He added, "I would say in months—certainly planning is starting immediately." Trump also said that U.S. tax dollars will be used to begin construction but that Mexico will provide reimbursement. Negotiations, he said, will begin between the two nations "relatively soon." The recently inaugurated president added: "What I'm doing is good for the United States. It's also going to be good for Mexico. We want to have a very stable, very solid Mexico."
