Tunisia Votes for Its First President

For the first time ever, Tunisians on Sunday are voting for their first directly elected President. The significant milestone comes a little more than three years after the overthrow of Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali in the Arab Spring. "Another distinguished day in the history of Tunisia," one Tunisian told NBC News. "Now we are the only country in the Arab world who does not know who their president will be until after the vote is finished." The results are expected to be released on Tuesday. While there are nearly 30 candidates, the front runners are the current president, Moncef Marzouki, and an 87-year-old former Ben Ali official named Beji Caid Essebsi.
