Turkey has arrested 445 people suspected of having connections to ISIS. State-run media said 60 were arrested in the capital city of Ankara, while raids also occurred in other cities including Istanbul, Gaziantep and Izmir. ISIS claims to have affiliates in Turkey. According to reports, many of the individuals who were detained were acting as ISIS operatives and participating in recruiting efforts via social media. The terror group claimed responsibility for a mass shooting at a night club in Istanbul on New Years Eve.
