Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan denied allegations that he's a dictator, and bashed social media's part in the protests that have rocked his country in recent days. “If they call someone who has served the people a ‘dictator,’ I have nothing to say,” he said in an address Sunday. Protests turned violent in the capital of Ankara, as demonstrators called on Erdogan, who's been in office for 10 years, to resign. In a series of interviews, he also described the crowds of thousands as "a few looters" and turned against social media's role in the uprising. “There is now a menace which is called Twitter,” Erdogan said. “The best examples of lies can be found there. To me, social media is the worst menace to society.” More than 900 people have been arrested in over 90 demonstrations in 48 cities across Turkey this weekend.
